About Me
Susanna Vaughan is an actor, director, choreographer, and educator based in Southern California.
Born and raised in San Jose, CA, Susanna grew up a shy child in a big family. Joining her middle school drama class and show choir helped her find confidence, find her voice, and realize she has a lot to give to the world. Now she aims to help other artists do the same.
Susanna is a passionate performer and storyteller who finds true joy when sharing inspiring and uplifting stories with audiences. As a performer, Susanna has appeared on stages across Los Angeles and San Diego, including Singing in the Rain and My Fair Lady at Musical Theatre West, The Little Mermaid and Victor/Victoria at Moonlight Amphitheater, She Loves Me and Anna Karenina at Actors Co-op in Hollywood, Hairspray at San Diego Musical Theatre, and cabaret concerts at The Old Globe San Diego.
Susanna earned an M.F.A. in Musical Theatre from San Diego State University and currently teaches in the theatre departments at Fullerton College and Concordia University Irvine. She is a member of the Musical Theatre Educatorsβ Alliance (MTEA) where she stays up to date on innovative teaching methods and techniques.
Susanna lives in Southern California with her husband, Tyler, and Chewie, the best blind dog ever. She is a big fan of coffee, ice cream, and coffee ice cream.
